Losing Sleep
I probably need to be asleep right now but I can’t.
Like most of you we are facing usually bitter cold coming in the next few days, and I am worried
about keeping all of my critters safe and warm. It is the battle of the bulge for my six d’Uccle mother want to be’s.
Their eggs are due to hatch any hour/day/moment. It is like they instinctively know they have a life or death fight looming
around the corner. It is nature at its finest and I can do nothing to help them but let nature take its course. Motherly instinct is an
amazing thing. Of course my husband comes to me tonight with this huge infected knot on his hand. He “noticed it” a few days ago, and
I now have the motherly instinct to discipline him for being so hard headed. Motherly instinct never gets a break.
Although belated, Happy New Years to all my Farm Girl Sisters and Readers. May your Motherly Instincts stay intact and your sanity
as well (especially those with hard headed husbands).
